My Motivation

Why I am in the European Parliament…

Firstly, why I am NOT there: I am not there firstly for my own glory, or status, or career, or income. Nor am I there to make the EU system work better, or to milk it, as others are. I am there for 3 reasons. A UKIP MEP’s role I see as follows:

1. To promote what I and my party believes in, particularly our policies, through public speaking and media opportunities. I am there to represent the greater good – that of a positive, better alternative to membership of the EU Superstate for Britain – not to toe the line or appease the EU.

2. To represent my constituents to the best of my ability in the European Parliament, and those who voted for UKIP.

3. To highlight, oppose and vote against bad and damaging EU legislation and EU initiatives of detriment to the United Kingdom, in plenary and committee sessions.
