Conservative MEP condemns ISIS war crimes against women

Speaking in the European Parliament on the 27th November 2014,  David Campbell Bannerman, MEP for the Eastern Counties and Chairman of the EU/Iraq Delegation,  condemned the ‘barbaric killing, kidnapping, rape committed by ISIS fighters in Iraq.’   He went on to say that such actions constitute a  ‘war crime, and are crimes against humanity.’   The MEP stated that ‘these terrorist crimes committed against women and girls by the so-called Islamic State are inhuman’ and involved the ‘utterly abhorrent use of forced religious conversions, marriages and sexual enslavement.’
