My push for treason reform refers only to extreme anti-British actions

Jihadists on Daily Telegraph cover David Campbell Bannerman has told Westmonster that he is “unphased” by criticism he has received after calling for the Treason Act to apply to jihadists and also to those “actively working undemocratically against UK through extreme EU loyalty”.

As the debate of jihadi traitors has continued, Bannerman tweeted this morning: “It is about time we brought the Treason Act up to date and made it apply to those seeking to destroy or undermine the British state. That means extreme jihadis. It also means those in future actively working undemocratically against U.K. through extreme EU loyalty.”

Since then Bannerman has faced criticism but has told Westmonster that: “It’s quite clear the silly season has started early.

“I am debating what could go into a new Treason Act as proposed today after Tony Blair binned it. It’s well overdue when the original dates back to ee1351.

“The Remoaner circuit has tried to make something out of nothing. I am referring only to extreme anti-British actions wilfully undermining the UK national interest not to fully legitimate democratic opposition, which I will defend to the last.

“Do they have guilty consciences? As ever this abusive network seeks to play the person not the ball. I am unphased by their dramatics.”
