The European Parliament has voted through a resolution calling for national militaries to ramp up their might. The EU believes economic downfall must not become a pretext to give up defense and security efforts….
MEP David Campbell Bannerman from the UK Conservative Party voted against the move and slammed the move. Bannerman told RT that Brussels is encroaching on the sovereignty of its members, with Britain relinquishing control of its own defense and security decisions.

David attended ECR working sessions with Prime Minister David Cameron, Chancellor of Exchequer George Osborne in Number 10; and later Foreign Secretary William Hague. David raised a number of EU issues. David also saw the Number 10 photo of Henry Campbell-Bannerman, Liberal Prime Minister 1905-08, who died in Number 10, and saw the new bust of him in the House of Commons.

‘Tory MEP David Campbell Bannerman yesterday demanded the entire EU budget is cut. “If this were a private business, the taxman would rightly be all over it like a rash, demanding explanations,” he said. “Potentially, the company would would be put into administration.”
